Our inaugural in-store wine tasting

Hampden Warehouse Liquor Mart is excited to announce its first in-store wine tasting! This Friday, July 20th, from 3:30 until 6:30 we will be pouring samples of four delicious wines for you. Our resident wine guru, Anne will be pouring and talking about each wine. If you miss our first in-store tasting on Friday afternoon, you can swing by on Saturday, July 21st, from 3:30 until 6:30 to taste the wines.

We will be discounting each bottle of wine being pouring, during the tasting hours.
This Friday and Saturday we will be tasting:

Concannon, Pinot Gris, California Exceptional pinot gris! There is a hint of pineapple on the fore-palate and as the wine develops in the mouth it offers up flavors of green apples and a touch of honey. The finish tastes like ripe peaches.	Fernleaf Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand Zesty, bright, young, and oh so refreshing, Fernleaf Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect summer time wine. Notes of melon, pink grapefruit and hints of white flowers make this wine a winner.
Houghton Semillon - Sauvignon Blanc, Australia Semillon and sauvignon blanc have always made a fine blend. Houghton shows how well these two grapes work together, offering notes of melon, apricot, citrus, and lemon peel. Great acidity and hint of mineral on the finish. Try it with some salmon or pasta primavera.	Shoo Fly Grenache, Shiraz, Viogner, Australia Looking for something with a little more umpf? A synergy of flavors offering notes of blueberry, chocolate, and hints of smoke. This red blend is the perfect bottle of wine to pair with burgers, steaks, or lamb chops off the grill. Not bad with some grilled portobello mushrooms either.
